The makeup theory course is accredited by the guild of beauty therapists, it will include the following:

The theory will be 2 parts:

Professional standards (to be completed first as this is health and safety, regulations and professional conduct).

Practical will be:

  • Plan, design then create the perfect looks listed below. You will be given a professional demo followed by support working on your own model as per the days outlined below.

The preparation for makeup and skills you need from start with primer to the flawless finish including lashes (only if the client has had a patch test 48 hours prior) is all covered. Highlighting, contouring, brows, colour correction, eyelashes either party or strip lashes applied (patch test required).

  • This will equip you with skills and confidence to be more adventurous with your own make up as well as allowing you to start your MUA journey.

The 5-day intensive course covers:

Theory - This must be completed prior to the first practical day which will take about 8 hours, at home and online.  The practical days can be up to 6 hours depending on how long it takes.  Some people are very quick, and others take more time.  Regardless of how long it takes each day the price will be the same.

4-day practical plan

Day 1 day/bridal look/natural brow

Day 2 evening/smokey eye/glitter/definition brow (heavier)

Day 3 Advance skills – halo, cut crease, latest trends, glitters/embellishments and fashion (taking the perfect picture)

Day 4 Dramatic/fantasy look where anything goes!  You plan it, go for it!

The training will be personalised and supportive due to a maximum of 6 people at one time.

Research prior to the course is suggested so you come along with your personal favourite images that you would like to create.  These images should be based on day 1-4; day/bridal look/evening/smoky/advanced or latest trends/dramatic or fantasy look.

If you are unsure do not worry, I am here to help and support you.

Bring along your own makeup brushes, a suggested minimum of 5 eye brushes, 2 cheek brushes (one large), a small and medium contour brush and a foundation brush. If you have new makeup you are desperate to try out, bring it along. The make up is provided on the day as well.

The theory will be classed as day 1 (from home) then 4 days practical.
